Download the files
5000-TSPLUS.EXE  5000-TSCI-STARFISH.EXE   5000-REXW2K_100.EXE
2a Run 5000-TSPLUS.EXE to extract the files in it. Then run SETUP (it will be in the "DISK1 folder that is created when you run 5000-TSPLUS.EXE). If you are running an Outlook version later than Outlook 98 you can ignore the error about Outlook 98.
Run the Truesync Installer (5000-TSCI-STARFISH.EXE). This requires a web connection to run. Make the selection to "upgrade" to the next version of TrueSync installer. (This step updates the version of TrueSync installer that you downloaded from here to the current version available the Intel site.)

After the 5000-TSCI-Starfisch.exe has once been started, you can use tspr6update.exe what is the local and OFFLINE Version from Intel that requires no Internet Connection for Update
Choose the following Products (Accessors) for Update to the Versions
- TrueSync Plus [1.0.6.110]
- REX Pro (if you have a REX Pro or REX 5000) [1.0.6.8]
- Outlook 98/2000 (or whatever version of Outlook you are using) [1.0.6.68]
Restart Windows
2b TrueSync Setup Wizard starts automaticly (TrueSync Launcher is in your 'Startup Folder' now)
Choose 'Outlook 2000' [I've now started Outlook XP in the Background]
"Change Settings" and select your Mailbox to Sync with
Choose Rex Pro
Choose PC Card Slot
When you reach the prompt to "install your REX card", Cancel setup.
2c Run 5000-REXW2K_100.EXE. (This self-extracting EXE contains the Windows 2000 patch. We are on Windows XP, but the 2000 drivers work.)
Run REXW2KUPGRADE.EXE (that was extracted from REXW2K_100.EXE.)
Now start Outlook and insert the REX card. On the taskbar (top of screen) will be the TrueSync icon. Click it and sync the REX.
3 Reinstall PCMCIA Rex Pro (identical with Model 5000) Device Driver
Insert Rex Pro in PCMCIA PC Card Slot
Start Device Manager, Double Click on 'Rex … 4100' (old Driver)
On the 'Driver' Tab, select "Update Driver"
Specify Location, Point to the place where you unzipped the 5000-REXW2K_100.EXE files
Windows installs the REXPro REX 5000 device

Fixed with Errors
Step 3 ECRP 10-0002
The Rex Pro Card failed to uninitialize
Step 3 TrueSyncRE E0001
Rex Pro has run out of memory and can not fit any more records, or the connection to it has been lost.
Step 1 TrueSync Plus Setup does not allow Synchronisation with Outlook 2000 or XP
Only Outlook 97 or 98 are available as Applications
Again: Thanks very much to everyone that posted some information about Rex issues.
There's not too much help about it but those I found finally helped me fix my problems
Hope this can be a help for others seeking the internet for the 'last hint' needed to solve the quest.
